Experienced IT Field Technician

GCT is looking for an experienced IT Field Technician to join our growing team. We've been serving East Texas businesses and local governments since 2013, and we're known for solving problems that others can't.
If you enjoy variety, working directly with customers, and tackling everything from networks and firewalls to VoIP systems and hardware repairs, we'd love to talk with you.
No two days are the same.
One day you might be installing a new firewall or server, the next you're troubleshooting a network outage, deploying workstations, running cable, or supporting a public safety agency.
What You'll Do
- Troubleshoot and repair Windows PCs, servers, and network equipment
- Install and configure firewalls, commercial Wi-Fi, switches, and VoIP systems
- Install, test, repair, and replace network cabling
- Deploy new computers and migrate user data and applications
- Support POS systems, security cameras, access points, printers, and other business technology
- Document work performed and maintain accurate service records
- Build long-term relationships with clients through outstanding customer service
- Assist other field technicians as needed
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is confident working independently and enjoys solving problems.
You should have experience with:
- Business networking
- VoIP systems
- Windows desktops and servers
- Commercial Wi-Fi
- Firewalls
- Network cabling
- Computer hardware repair
- Basic cybersecurity best practices
- Customer-facing technical support
You should also:
- Be dependable and organized
- Communicate professionally with customers
- Be able to prioritize multiple tasks
- Work well with minimal supervision
- Have your own hand tools
- Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation

This is a full-time field position serving businesses throughout East Texas.
You'll work directly with clients, solve real-world technology problems, and be part of a team that values quality work, integrity, and taking care of our customers.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
