Position Summary
Home2 Suites is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician who is highly skilled in hotel maintenance, building repairs, and troubleshooting. This individual must be a hands-on problem solver capable of independently diagnosing and repairing issues involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, drywall, painting, tile, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, responds quickly to maintenance requests, and helps maintain a safe, clean, and guest-ready hotel at all times.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance throughout the hotel
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, PTAC units, thermostats, and ventilation equipment
- Repair plumbing issues including toilets, faucets, drains, water heaters, and piping
- Perform electrical repairs including outlets, switches, breakers, lighting, and fixtures
- Complete drywall repairs, sheetrock patching, texturing, and painting
- Repair and replace tile, grout, flooring, doors, locks, and hardware
- Respond to guest room maintenance requests promptly
- Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and mechanical systems
- Maintain hotel equipment, tools, and maintenance inventory
- Coordinate with outside vendors when specialized repairs are required
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and Hilton brand requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on maintenance experience
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and tile repair
- Ability to diagnose problems and complete repairs without constant supervision
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
- Ability to read and understand basic wiring diagrams, manuals, and technical instructions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Must be available for occasional emergency calls and weekends as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous hotel maintenance experience
- Pool maintenance experience
- Hilton hotel experience
- Basic computer skills for work orders and maintenance tracking systems

The right candidate is dependable, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of handling a wide variety of maintenance challenges with minimal supervision.
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
