Associate Chief Financial Officer
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for assisting the Chief Financial Officer in providing strategic and operational financial leadership for the hospital and affiliated clinics. Serves as a collaborative leader who supports the financial sustainability of the organization as a rural Critical Access Hospital by assisting the Chief Financial Officer with accounting operations, reimbursement analysis, revenue cycle initiatives, budgeting, financial reporting, audit preparation, and process improvement activities.
Assist with maintenance of internal financial controls and compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulations.
Maintain a professional attitude, strong communication skills, discretion and confidentiality, efficiency, interpersonal skills, and be detail oriented.
Maintain current knowledge of healthcare finance regulation, reimbursement methodologies, and industry best practices.
Assist with grant reporting, restricted fund monitoring, and special financial projects.
Assist with fixed asset tracking, capital expenditure planning, and financial feasibility analysis.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university is required. Three years financial experience in a healthcare setting with hospital reimbursement, budgeting, revenue cycle operations, or financial analysis preferred.
