Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will oversee the accurate and efficient shipment of orders. In this role you will be cross trained in other area and expected to step in when asked to. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where teamwork, precision, and safety are paramount.
Responsibilities
- Verifying documentation and inspecting orders for discrepancies before shipping.
- Pack and prepare orders for shipment by selecting items accurately, packaging securely, and labeling correctly for delivery.
- Must be proficient with computers.
- UPS and Fed Ex software a plus.
- Ability to work in other areas such as inspecting (visual), packing, bagging & tagging orders, measuring and weighing product
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment by following safety procedures and reporting hazards promptly.
Skills
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately.
- Knowledge of packaging standards to ensure products are shipped securely and intact.
- Ability to perform order packing efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory accuracy.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members effectively.
