Heavy Equipment Operator / Excavation Crew Member

We are a small, locally owned excavation and grading company that takes pride in doing quality work and treating people right. We handle a variety of projects, including underground utilities, land clearing, site preparation, grading, pond construction, drainage work, and other excavation services. Because we're a small company, every team member plays an important role. We work hard, help each other out, and take pride in leaving every job site better than we found it.
We're looking for someone who is dependable, willing to work, and enjoys being part of a close-knit crew where your effort truly matters.
What You'll Do
No two days are exactly the same. Depending on the project, you'll help with:
- Operate excavators, skid steers, loaders, dozers, and other heavy equipment.
- Install underground water, sewer, and storm drainage utilities.
- Perform site grading and finish grading.
- Complete land clearing and site preparation.
- Assist with pond construction and drainage improvements.
- Perform general excavation and earthmoving.
- Load and unload equipment and materials.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance.
- Assist with pipe installation, trench work, and other general labor as needed.
- Keep equipment and job sites clean, organized, and safe.
- Work directly alongside the owner to complete projects efficiently with quality workmanship.
What We're Looking For
- Some experience operating heavy equipment is required. We're willing to provide additional training to help you expand your skills and become proficient with our equipment and the type of work we do.
- A strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Someone who shows up on time, takes pride in their work, and can be counted on.
- Experience in excavation, grading, underground utilities, or construction is a plus.
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more and perform physical work.
- Valid driver's license required (CDL is a plus).
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well as part of a small team.

Pay: $20.00 - $36.00 per hour
