Car Rental Pro is a fast-growing private car rental company serving rideshare drivers, travelers, and long-term renters throughout the DMV area.
We are looking for a dependable Part-Time Mobile Mechanic to help keep our fleet on the road. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, solving problems, and performing routine maintenance while occasionally traveling to customer or vehicle locations.
A company vehicle will be provided for work-related travel.
Responsibilities
- Perform oil changes and routine maintenance
- Replace brake pads and brake components
- Perform battery replacements & battery service
- Diagnose vehicle issues using scan tools and basic troubleshooting techniques
- Travel to customer or vehicle locations to inspect and diagnose issues
- Complete minor repairs on-site when possible
- Recommend repairs requiring shop service
- Inspect vehicles before returning them to the fleet
- Communicate repair findings with the operations team
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and company vehicle
Qualifications
- Previous automotive repair experience required
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Experience performing oil changes and brake repairs
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable driving throughout the Baltimore and DMV area
Preferred Qualifications
- ASE Certification (preferred but not required)
- Experience working in fleet maintenance or rental vehicles
- Ability to perform light suspension or steering repairs is a plus
