Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service throughout their shopping journey
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process retail sales transactions and handle cash, credit, or digital payments with precision
- Assist customers with product inquiries, upselling opportunities, and product demonstrations to enhance their shopping experience
- Maintain store merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are presented attractively
- Manage inventory by stocking shelves efficiently and conducting regular stock checks to keep the store well-organized
- Support team members by assisting with daily store operations when required
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for handling transactions accurately
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers effectively
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for cash handling and sales processing
- Experience with merchandising, stocking, and product demos is desirable
- Supervising experience is advantageous but not required; leadership qualities are appreciated for team support roles
