In this role, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive repairs and maintenance on GM vehicles, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and customer satisfaction. Duties
- Diagnose and repair a variety of vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, electrical systems, and powertrain components using advanced automotive diagnostics tools.
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, and fluid replacements to keep vehicles operating at peak performance.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to interpret wiring diagrams and repair procedures accurately.
- Conduct repairs on diesel engines and incorporate knowledge of diesel-specific components and systems.
- Repair or replace ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) components such as cameras, sensors, and radar units to ensure vehicle safety features function correctly.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized automotive repair tools safely and effectively.
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate clearly with customers about repair needs and vehicle status.
- Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks including wheel alignments, vehicle electrical system troubleshooting, auto body repairs, and general mechanical work.
- Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer standards for quality and safety while adhering to dealership policies.
Requirements
- Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic experience working with GM vehicles preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostics tools.
- Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration and diesel engine repair highly desirable.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams accurately.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures including alignments, powertrain repairs, auto body work, and general automotive service tasks.
- Familiarity with automotive electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques essential for diagnosing complex issues.
