Job Description
The Assistant Manager is a leader who sets a positive professional example for all supervisors and team members and provides excellent guest service. This person must be able to motivate, delegate, and coach staff. To accomplish this, the Assistant Manager must have good communication skills, high standards, integrity, strong time management skills and follow through, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
General Duties & Responsibilities
- Respond to guest comments and criticism in a positive manner, viewing such opportunities to build guest loyalty.
- Assist in creating an environment that consistently provides high levels of service to guests.
- Monitor sales activities to ensure that our guests receive excellent service and quality goods.
- Resolve guest concerns regarding service, film, concession products, facility condition, overall guest experience, and more.
- Perform opening and closing procedures. Oversee the daily operations of the theatre. Handle tasks such as balancing the POS system, and performing nightly and weekly inventories.
- Be proficient in all the functions of the POS system.
- Train staff in all aspects of company policies and procedures.
- Management of marketing materials.
- Enforce safety, health, and security policies and procedures.
- Practice safety standards when operating equipment and using chemicals.
- Handle floor operations such as allocating resources effectively, recognizing and anticipating problems, and reacting quickly to provide solutions.
- Complete reports accurately and in a timely manner.
- Timely communicate any issues/incidents to the General Manager and Operations/Event Manager.
- Delegate projects and assignments to others and follow up to ensure accurate and timely completion.
- Adapt to change and take on new responsibilities with a positive attitude.
- Support the General Manager & Operations Manager with back-of-house/front-of house tasks and data upkeep.
Screenings, Red Carpet Events, Receptions Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation for all types of events.
- Manage all team leaders and team members during events (ticketing, security, ushers, caterers, backstage, green room, etc.).
- Delegate effectively to ensure the entire operation is running smoothly while being accessible during events to resolve issues that might arise.
- Remain professional when encountering VIP guests.
- Ensure outstanding on-screen presentation.
Requirements
- Must possess excellent communication skills.
- Must be a team player and have good leadership skills.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Hours include nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Minimum 2 or more years in customer service.
- Minimum 1 or more years in a management role with at least 10 direct reports.
- Theatre experience preferred
- Must be able to carry up to 50lbs.
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
