Hiring range: $65,395.50 - $90,084.80
The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct data-driven financial analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial performance.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret healthcare data from various sources to help improve patient care, identify trends, and make informed decisions regarding operational changes.
- Collaborates with various members of leadership to gather and analyze financial data.
- Design and develop dashboards, reports, and presentations to communicate to Leadership.
- Use statistical and database software to analyze data and prepare reports.
- Identify trends and patterns in healthcare data to support decision-making.
- Assist in creating and implementing healthcare programs.
- Assist in budgeting and financial planning through trend forecasting.
- Monitors and analyzes cost variances and provide actionable insights for cost control.
- Ensures compliance with healthcare financial regulations and standards.
- Maintains and utilize the cost accounting software for cost and financial analysis.
- Provides financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
- Uses analytical tools to combine clinical, payroll, and financial information to calculate the complete cost of patient care.
- Collecting cost information and maintain an expenses database.
- Calculate all direct and indirect costs and propose keys to allocate them for each billable product and or service.
- Prepare periodic cost forecasts (monthly, quarterly, and annual).
- Compare budgeted cost to actual costs and report them monthly.
- Report all expenses in a way that proposes cost trimming (Cost control).
- Identify opportunities for improvement at all levels.
- Develop KPIs to measure margin improvements.
- Assist with budgets and budget accountability and monitor spending.
- Estimate product costs for existing and new products.
- Coordinate and prepare cost allocation of hospital overhead.
Education, Training & Experience: Bachelor’s in accounting, Management Information Systems or related field required.
A minimum of three (3) years relevant experience in cost accounting/analyst required. Experience in cost accounting and analytics within a healthcare setting required. Thorough knowledge of cost accounting models (VBC, ABC, TDBC and CCR) required. Advanced Excel & Data Manipulation Skills required. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities and experience presenting data to various groups required.
