Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide neonatal care in a Level II NICU
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage newborn patients requiring specialized care
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams
- Stabilize and manage neonatal patients according to established protocols
Patient Volume
- Average Patient Encounters per Shift: 2–3
- Average Patients per Shift: 2–3
Requirements
- Board Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (Required)
- Active NC license and DEA
- Current certifications:
- BLS – Required
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – Required
- PALS – Not Required

The ideal provider is an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner who is comfortable practicing independently within a Level II NICU environment and is available for ongoing 24-hour on-site coverage. Candidates should possess strong neonatal assessment and critical thinking skills while working collaboratively with the neonatal care team.
