Company Description
We are a medical equipment service company based in Brooklyn, NY. We repair and service medical equipment for hospitals, nursing homes, and healthcare facilities throughout the five boroughs of New York City and New Jersey.
Equipment we service includes oxygen concentrators, suction machines, compressors, patient lifters, blood pressure equipment, ventilators, and other durable medical equipment (DME).
Job Description
We are looking for a technician with strong troubleshooting ability and technical experience. The right candidate should be able to diagnose equipment problems, think logically, and use common sense to find solutions.
Work includes both field service and in-house repairs.
Field Work
- Travel to hospitals and nursing facilities to inspect and repair equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues on-site
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance
In-House Work
- Diagnose equipment problems in our repair shop
- Prepare repair estimates
- Repair and test equipment before returning to customers
Administrative
- Basic computer work and data entry for service records
Requirements
- Experience in a technical or repair-related field
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Mechanical and electrical knowledge preferred
- Ability to use hand tools and testing equipment
- Ability to work independently and solve problems
- Proficient in English and must have ability to communicate effectively
- Basic computer skills
- Valid driver's license
- Have own vehicle (company reimbursement provided for field work).
Preferred Qualifications
- Biomedical equipment repair experience
- Field service technician experience
- Electrical or mechanical repair background
- Ability to read electrical schematics
- Experience with diagnostic tools such as multimeters
Compensation
Pay is based on experience and ability.
Experienced technicians who can diagnose problems and work independently may earn up to $35 per hour.
