The Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for managing a complex portfolio of commercial insurance clients while delivering exceptional service and strategic risk management solutions. This role serves as the primary relationship manager for assigned accounts, partnering with producers and agents, underwriters, and carrier representatives to develop insurance programs that meet clients' business needs. The Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager contributes to agency growth through client retention and account development.
Salary Range: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
Must have 5+ years in commercial Lines experience
Must have a current P & C License
Epic experience preferred
Client Relationship Management
- Manage a diverse portfolio of commercial accounts across multiple industries.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for agents and clients regarding policy service, coverage questions, renewals, and risk management.
- Develop trusted advisor relationships through proactive communication and regular account reviews.
Account Management & Policy Servicing
- Manage all aspects of policy servicing, including endorsements, renewals, cancellations, certificates of insurance, binders, audits, and policy changes.
- Review insurance policies, endorsements, and coverage forms for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate policy issuance and delivery with insurance carriers.
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation within the agency management system.
- Ensure all client service activities meet agency standards and carrier requirements.
Renewal & Marketing
- Lead the renewal process for assigned accounts by developing renewal strategies well in advance of expiration dates.
- Prepare comprehensive marketing submissions for carriers.
- Negotiate coverage terms, pricing, and conditions with underwriters.
- Analyze carrier proposals and present recommendations to clients and agents.
- Coordinate remarketing efforts to secure the best coverage and value for clients.
Coverage Analysis & Risk Management
- Evaluate client operations and identify potential coverage gaps and exposures.

- Stay informed on market trends, underwriting guidelines, and carrier products.
Producer & Business Development Support
- Partner with producers to retain existing clients and support new business opportunities.
- Identify cross-selling and account rounding opportunities.
- Assist with complex new business submissions and carrier negotiations.
- Support agency revenue growth through exceptional client service and account retention.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with insurance regulations, carrier guidelines, and agency procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information.
- Complete continuing education requirements and maintain all applicable insurance licenses.
- Participate in internal quality assurance and audit processes.
