Department of Water Resources (DWR) was established in 1956 by the California State Legislature. We manage California’s water resources, systems, and infrastructure, including the State Water Project, in a responsible sustainable way.
At DWR, we are embedding climate change response into every project we undertake. It is desirable for the incumbent to have knowledge and experience in It is desirable for the incumbent to have knowledge and experience in contract management—including contracts, task orders, invoices, and deliverables—as well as document development and maintenance, such as planning, content development, monitoring, tracking, and analysis. The role also requires strong communications and coordination skills, including planning, organizing, and controlling activities, along with experience in procedures development and working with internal and external agencies. Proficiency with technology platforms, including the MS Office Suite, automated notification systems, and databases, is important. Additional desirable experience includes materials management, such as logistics, coordination, communication, and tracking, and security management involving regulations, controls, training, and awareness.
