We are looking for a dependable and skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our fabrication shop team. This position involves reading blueprints, fabricating metal components, welding assemblies, and assisting with production and custom fabrication projects. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, works safely, and can perform in a fast-paced shop environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and measurements
- Fabricate and assemble metal components to specifications
- Operate fabrication equipment including saws, grinders, presses, drills, ironworkers, and plasma tables
- Measure, cut, fit, and weld materials accurately
- Inspect finished work for quality and dimensional accuracy
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all shop safety procedures and company policies
- Assist with loading, unloading, and material handling as needed
Qualifications
- 2+ years welding/fabrication experience preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and tape measures accurately
- Experience with MIG welding required; TIG experience a plus
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Forklift or overhead crane experience is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Comfortable working in a fabrication shop environment with heat, noise, and heavy equipment
