Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and efficient Line Cook to support our kitchen operations with a primary focus on Saturday lunch and dinner service. This role may also include additional dinner service shifts on Thursdays based on business needs. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of food quality and kitchen cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute menu items for Saturday lunch and dinner service
- Assist with Thursday dinner service as needed
- Perform food prep tasks including chopping, portioning, and basic cooking techniques
- Act as a runner during service, ensuring timely delivery of dishes between kitchen and service areas
- Support kitchen operations during special events, including prep and service execution
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in compliance with health and safety standards
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment preferred
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Team-oriented with good communication skills
- Availability to work Saturdays and occasional Thursdays
- Must have a valid food handler’s certification or be able to obtain one within 60 days of hire
