Part-Time Lawn Care Technician
Luminary Lawns is seeking a Part-Time Lawn Care Technician to help execute high-quality mowing routes, lawn maintenance, and landscaping support across client properties.
This position is expected to work two consistent weekdays per week, with availability for one of the following core schedules:
- Tuesday and Wednesday
- Wednesday and Thursday
There may also be opportunities to flex up to three days per week, Tuesday through Thursday, based on employee availability, workload, weather, and business needs.
This role also has the potential to develop into a full-time position near the end of this season or at the beginning of next season, depending on business growth, scheduling needs, reliability, and the quality of the employee’s workmanship.
This is a hands-on field role focused on consistency, efficiency, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. Most workdays will involve completing assigned mowing routes and ensuring each property meets Luminary Lawns’ quality and appearance standards. You may also assist with landscaping projects, garden maintenance, plantings, pruning, mulching, seasonal cleanups, and other outdoor property-care services as needed.
Some days, you may work independently while managing assigned route work. Other days, you may work alongside another team member on larger routes, landscaping projects, seasonal work, or special assignments.
This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in clean, consistent results, enjoys working outdoors, manages time effectively, and treats every property with a strong sense of ownership.
What You’ll Do
- Complete high-quality lawn mowing across assigned routes
- Operate commercial electric mowing, trimming, and outdoor equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform mowing, trimming, edging, blowing, and cleanup for a polished finished appearance
- Assist with landscaping work, including mulching, planting, pruning, weeding, garden maintenance, and seasonal cleanups
- Maintain route quality, consistency, and attention to detail with minimal supervision
- Work independently or alongside another technician based on daily assignments
- Communicate job notes, property concerns, photos, and route updates through company mobile apps
- Perform basic equipment checks and report maintenance or repair needs
- Follow company standards for safety, property care, and customer experience
- Ensure every property is left clean, complete, and professionally maintained
What We’re Looking For
- Availability to work either Tuesday and Wednesday or Wednesday and Thursday
- Ability to occasionally work Tuesday through Thursday is preferred but not required
- Experience in lawn mowing, landscaping, or outdoor property maintenance preferred
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple properties
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work
- Positive attitude and dependable work ethic
- Self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable working with minimal supervision
- Ability to follow route schedules and adjust to weather or operational changes
- Comfortable using mobile apps for scheduling, communication, photos, and job notes
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work outdoors in changing weather conditions
- Willingness to learn, improve, and follow Luminary Lawns’ quality standards
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience managing or assisting with a mowing route
- Experience with planting, mulching, pruning, garden maintenance, or property cleanups
- Experience operating commercial electric lawn equipment
- Experience working efficiently in a production-based environment
- Comfortable communicating professionally with clients when needed
- Interest in sustainable or electric-equipment-based property care
- Experience maintaining high-quality or high-end residential properties
