American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT or NMTCB certification for a 13-week outpatient Radiation Oncology assignment in South Carolina.

Outpatient-only Comprehensive Cancer Center setting

Radiation Oncology department

Treats patients using advanced linear accelerators, Tomotherapy treatment units, or proton therapy units
-
Shift hours span between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday only

No call required

Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience operating treatment machines and treating patients

ARRT or NMTCB certification required

BLS certification required (AHA only)

SCRQSA certification required

SC state license required if applicable

Administer daily prescribed doses of ionizing radiation in accordance with radiation oncologist instructions
-
Simulate patients and utilize recording and verification treatment software
-
Position patients accurately for treatment per prescription

Educate and reassure patients and families regarding treatment reactions and post-treatment care

Follow radiation protection principles for patient, self, and others
-
Contribute to the training and development of radiation therapy students
