Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital, a part of the New Jersey Department of Health and the Division of Behavioral Health Services, is looking for Senior Food Service Handlers. The Senior Food Service Handler act as “general assistants” working under the direction of a Food Service Supervisor, Cook and/or Head Cook in the storage and preparation of food for cooking and serving to our patients and staff. Some job responsibilities will include but are not limited to preparing fruits and vegetables for cooking/serving; preparing salads, desserts, and beverages; cutting of meat; washing of pots, pans, trays, and cooking utensils; maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly kitchen; maintaining an inventory of food supplies. Greystone Park Psychiatric hospital is a modern 552 bed psychiatric hospital located in Morris Plains, NJ.
EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of experience in general unskilled kitchen or food service work.
LICENSE: Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
All new hires are expected to attend a mandatory seven (7) days orientation on the day shift.
Drug test is required within 72 hours of offer and must be paid at your own expense.
