INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN – NIGHT SHIFT

We are currently seeking a talented, driven, and experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join the Manufacturing team at our Princeton, Illinois facility.
SHIFT & TRAINING SCHEDULE
This is a NIGHT SHIFT position.
To ensure you receive comprehensive training and become familiar with our equipment, processes, and maintenance programs, the successful candidate will spend approximately the first month training on DAY SHIFT.
Following the initial training period, the position will transition to its regular NIGHT SHIFT schedule.
Candidates must be comfortable working nights and flexible with overtime and weekend requirements as needed.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in keeping our manufacturing operations running safely, efficiently, and reliably.
Key responsibilities include:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair CNC machines
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on CNC equipment
- Repair and maintain hydraulic fixtures and systems
- Perform general facility maintenance and repairs
- Conduct maintenance activities in accordance with L.W. Schneider's plant safety programs and procedures
- Identify equipment issues and assist in implementing effective, long-term solutions
- Support production teams by responding to equipment and facility maintenance needs
- Maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety and equipment reliability
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Successful candidates should possess:
- A minimum of five years of experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
- Electrical troubleshooting experience
- The ability to provide and maintain their own tools
- A strong work ethic and the ability to work independently as a reliable self-starter
- A safety-first mindset
- Training or experience with Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space Entry, and Arc Flash safety
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Additional experience or training in the following areas is preferred:
- CNC and PLC equipment, including:
- Haas
- Akari
- Mori-Seiki
- Tsugami
- Citizen
- Chevalier
- Cincinnati
- Allen-Bradley
- Facility maintenance, including HVAC, lighting, electrical wiring, and related systems
- Maintenance-related coursework or technical training
- CNC Certificate or other relevant technical certification
