The Green Coffee Handler plays a crucial role in the manufacturing plant by ensuring the smooth operation of the green coffee handling process. Here are the key responsibilities and qualifications for this position:
Communication and Workflow: Coordinate with the Roaster to support the day's workflow Monitor green inventory and work with the Roasting Manager to prepare green coffee transitions.
Coffee Roasting Preparation: Stage green coffee in anticipation of daily and weekly roasting needs, utilizing various green handling equipment.
Green Coffee Loading: Assist in loading green coffee into the roasting machines, using required equipment and following safety procedures.
Maintaining Inventory: Maintain accurate green coffee inventory, conducting routine counts, updating systems, and handling work orders.
General Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning tasks for all green coffee systems and roasting-related equipment.
- The Green Coffee Handler is expected to maintain a high level of communication and workflow, with the ability to lift heavy objects and work independently with minimal supervision, along with a strong ability to read and follow written instructions accurately.
