We are seeking a talented Delivery Logistics Manager, for a industrial company. The ideal candidate has previous experience in logistics, transportation and warehouse management, while working with large teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- MANDATORY: Prior experience in Transportation management, shipping logistics, and direct supervision of a team with 30 or more employees.
- MANDATORY: Prior experience managing fleet maintenance.
- MANDATORY: Prior experience recruiting/hiring, scheduling, and managing drivers.
- This position requires strong organization, communication and management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines as assigned.
- Prior job experience with shipping, logistics and transportation. Candidates will have a strong working knowledge of truck maintenance, driving safety and CHPS audits / legal requirements.
- Prior job experience in managing a team of Drivers and their work performance.
- High School Diploma required. An associate or Bachelors Degree is strongly preferred.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work various shifts and schedule availability 7 days a week.

Job Responsibilities
- This is a senior leadership position for 25 delivery routes in Northern California.
- Build and maintain a positive work environment culture, in which all team members and their contributions are recognized and valued.
- Hiring, training, and supervision of all Transportation Department employees.
- Manages the delivery schedule for all laundry shipments. Ensures that all shifts are covered and has direct responsibility for Driver schedule and payroll.
- This role is responsible for recruiting, hiring and train new Drivers on routes to ensure that customer delivery expectations are met and that a high level of customer service is provided. New drivers will also be trained on all aspects of loading, lift-gate operation, load securement and paperwork completion.
- Performance management for all Transportation Department employees: annual performance reviews, ensuring that your team arrives to work on time and in company uniform.
- Follow up on any safety or client related concerns with consist coaching and formal documentation if needed. Foster a job culture of safety and accident prevention.
- Ensure that all Driver accidents or injuries are properly recorded, communicated throughout the organization and evaluated for potential employee training.
- Build and maintain a positive work environment where Transportation team members and their contributions are recognized and valued.
- Maintain maintenance records, keep all delivery vehicles up to date on PMs, and work closely with contracted third party vendor on all repairs.
