Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate, engaging, and experienced Part-Time Middle School Math & Science Teacher to work with small groups of students in a supportive learning environment. This role is ideal for an educator who is passionate about helping students with diverse learning needs build confidence, develop academic skills, and achieve their personal goals.
The ideal candidate has experience working with students with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and other neurodiverse learning profiles and is committed to creating an inclusive, student-centered classroom experience.
Position Summary
The Part-Time Middle School Math & Science Teacher will provide academic instruction and support to small groups of students in grades 5–8. The teacher will adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs, foster positive relationships, and create a structured, encouraging environment where students can thrive academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide engaging instruction to small groups of middle school students.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the unique learning needs of students with ADHD, ASD, executive functioning challenges, and other neurodiverse profiles.
- Develop and implement individualized learning strategies and accommodations.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to students and families.
- Create a positive, supportive, and structured learning environment.
- Foster students' self-confidence, organization, study skills, and independence.
- Collaborate with parents, educational specialists, and support staff as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and communication.
- Encourage social-emotional growth and positive peer interactions.
- Support students in developing effective executive functioning and self-advocacy skills.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching, tutoring, or educational support experience with middle school students.
- Demonstrated experience working with students with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), learning differences, and other neurodiverse needs.
- Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to adapt instruction based on individual student learning styles and needs.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Passion for helping students build confidence and achieve academic success.
Preferred
- Teaching certification or Special Education certification.
- Experience in small-group instruction, tutoring, intervention programs, or learning support settings.
- Knowledge of executive functioning strategies and accommodations.
- Experience developing individualized learning plans or academic support programs.

Pay: $28.00 - $37.00 per hour
