About Melodic Movements
Melodic Movements Performing Arts Program is a family-centered dance studio committed to developing confident dancers and strong leaders through high-quality dance education. As we prepare for our milestone Season 10, we are expanding our instructional team to continue providing exceptional dance education while supporting the growth of our students and programs.
Current Openings
We are currently hiring for the following positions:
- Intermediate/Advanced Hip Hop Instructor
- Mini Dance Instructor (Ages 2–6)
- Majorette Instructor (Hockessin)
- Acrobatics Instructor
- Company Choreographer
Applicants are welcome to apply for one or multiple positions based on their experience and areas of expertise.
Position Responsibilities
- Plan and teach engaging, age-appropriate dance classes.
- Deliver instruction aligned with the Melodic Movements curriculum and teaching standards.
- Foster a positive, structured, and encouraging classroom environment.
- Track student growth and maintain high instructional quality.
- Choreograph recital routines that demonstrate student progress.
- Maintain professional communication with leadership, students, and families.
- Attend required staff meetings, rehearsals, performances, and studio events.
- Capture and submit class content for marketing as requested.
- Represent Melodic Movements with professionalism both inside and outside of the studio.
Additional Responsibilities for Company Choreographer
- Choreograph and teach routines for the Melodic Movements Company.
- Create age-appropriate, engaging, and technically sound choreography.
- Attend rehearsals, choreography cleanings, and performances.
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure choreography aligns with the artistic vision of the studio.
- Inspire dancers to perform with confidence, artistry, and excellence.
Qualifications
- Previous dance teaching experience preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge in the genre(s) being taught.
- Experience working with children of various ages.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Passion for youth development and dance education.

Schedule
Classes are primarily held weekday evenings and Saturdays. Specific schedules will be determined based on program needs and instructor availability.
Compensation
Competitive hourly pay based on experience and qualifications.
