Part-Time Associate Attorney – Estate Planning & Business Law

Marketti Law Firm is a rapidly growing boutique law firm in Frankfort, Illinois, focused on estate planning and business law. We are looking for a Part-Time Associate Attorney to join our team and grow with the firm.
This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who wants meaningful client work, hands-on experience, mentorship, and flexibility without the traditional big-firm environment.
We are willing to train the right person. Prior estate planning experience is helpful, but it is not required. We care more about finding someone who is smart, motivated, kind, detail-oriented, great with people, and eager to learn.
What You’ll Do
The associate will work directly with the firm’s founder and assist with matters including:
* Estate planning, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related documents
* Client meetings and estate planning consultations
* Reviewing and drafting estate planning documents
* Trust funding and related client follow-up
* Business formations, operating agreements, contracts, business sales, and other transactional business matters
* Legal research and document review
* Helping provide an exceptional experience for our clients
As you gain experience, there will be opportunities to take greater ownership of client matters and develop your own relationships with clients and professional referral partners.
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate:
* Is licensed to practice law in Illinois
* Has excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Is highly organized and detail-oriented
* Enjoys working directly with clients
* Is comfortable learning new technology and systems
* Is dependable, caring, professional, and willing to learn
* Wants to be part of building and growing a modern women lead law firm.
Estate planning or transactional experience is a plus, but we are open to training a newer attorney who is the right fit for our firm and our clients.
The Position
This is initially a part-time position with flexible hours and the potential to grow into a larger role as the firm continues to expand.
In person availability in Frankfort, Illinois will be required for client meetings, collaboration, and estate plan signings.
We believe attorneys can do excellent work, serve great clients at a high level, and still have a life outside of the office. This could be an especially good fit for an attorney looking to return to practice, transition into estate planning, or find a more flexible, enjoyable and family-friendly way to practice law.
