Treatment Center, an established Opioid Treatment Provider, is currently in need of a Physician. Treatment Center offers treatment to individuals with opioid use disorder and/ or polysubstance use disorder. Candidates should have strong verbal and written communications skills. Candidates will attend facility meetings, audit procedures and physician meetings. Candidates should have a clear understanding and follow evidence-based practice for opioid treatment to ensure quality care of patients. Candidate should be able to work in a team environment consisting of mid-level providers, nurses, counselors, social workers and management team.
The duties of the Medical Director include the following;
· admission of clients
· coordination of care
· physical exams
· supervision of nursing staff
· receiving after hour calls from nursing staff
· reviewing medical records
· documentation of medical orders
· participating in treatment team meetings with staff
· participating in monthly physician calls with physicians throughout the state and State Opioid Treatment Authority
The Medical Director would be expected to work at minimum 8 hours per week, on site, during morning hours.
