Trades Exchange (TEX) is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician / Multi-Craft Technician for a Direct hire opportunity supporting complex commercial and industrial facilities in West Tennessee.
This position requires a technician with hands-on experience troubleshooting and maintaining mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and facility equipment in industrial, manufacturing, production, or similarly complex environments.
This is not a basic building-maintenance or apartment-maintenance role.
What You'll Be Doing
- Troubleshoot industrial and facility equipment
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical failures
- Troubleshoot motors, pumps, bearings, belts, drives, and related equipment
- Perform basic electrical testing using a multimeter
- Troubleshoot switches, relays, contactors, motor circuits, and electrical components
- Diagnose equipment failures and determine root causes
- Complete mechanical repairs and component replacement
- Perform routine inspections of equipment and facility systems
- Identify potential failures before they result in downtime
- Support HVAC and refrigeration equipment when within technical capability
- Perform basic plumbing and facility repairs as needed
- Read equipment manuals, electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation
- Document maintenance work and communicate equipment conditions
- Work safely around active industrial or production operations
- Coordinate professionally with facility leadership and customer personnel

You do not necessarily need experience with every system listed above, but candidates should have a strong multi-craft technical foundation and demonstrated troubleshooting ability.
Preferred Experience
- 3+ years of industrial, manufacturing, production, or commercial facility maintenance
- Multi-craft mechanical and electrical maintenance experience
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability
- Preventive and corrective maintenance experience
- Industrial electrical experience strongly valued
- HVAC-R experience is a major plus
- Manufacturing or production-facility experience strongly preferred
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to safely use meters, hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Valid driver's license
- Consistent employment history preferred

Our technicians work closely within customer operations rather than functioning as a traditional service contractor performing isolated work orders.
Because of the technical demands of these environments, candidates should already possess a solid maintenance foundation. This opportunity is not currently structured for someone requiring extensive entry-level technical training.
