Job Description:
DFW Orthopedics, an Orthopedic Surgery Practice in Alliance, Texas with locations in Fort Worth, Grapevine and Decatur. Dr. Ben Deheshi is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon who specializes in the management and treatment of hip and knee arthritis. We are looking for a motivated and friendly individual to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service and communication skills, critical thinking skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Answering incoming calls to triage and schedule appointments
- Compiling surgery orders for all surgical patients
- Verifying insurance eligibility
- Scheduling surgeries at different facilities and performing all functions related to the surgery scheduling process
- Assisting with the uploading and registration documentation in the EMR
- Collecting payments for any incoming calls regarding surgeries
- Creating prior authorization requests for patients requiring braces, injections, etc.
- Performing duties involving record upload and retrieval from various hospitals and imaging portals
- Answering phone calls and addressing patient/hospital/facility inquiries
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required
- Bilingual in English and Spanish Preferred
- 1 year of EMR systems and scheduling experience preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Organizational and time management skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Possesses a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism
- Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- A team player
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $15.00/hour
