American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool position on a 3rd Floor Overflow unit, requiring at least one year of RN experience and the ability to float to any area of the hospital.

Med/Surg and Step-Down experience required for this role

Night shift, 12-hour days, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)

May be floated to any area of the hospital

13-week contract

Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or eNLC Compact) currently in hand

Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required; all certifications must be from AHA

Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required

Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
-
Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Proficiency in organizing, planning, and evaluating nursing care

Basic computer skills required

Responsible for managing an assigned patient group, including documenting responses to nursing interventions, monitoring physiological data, administering medications, and managing IV infusions and blood products

Collaborates with physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures

Educates patients and families on care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge planning, and makes referrals to appropriate personnel as needed

Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate

Candidates who have previously worked at this health system must have a 6-month separation period after 26 weeks of total tenure before being eligible for a new contract

Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced; candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding requirements immediately upon acceptance of an offer
