Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff during service, ensuring smooth operations and timely food delivery
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating to meet high standards of presentation and taste
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, stock rotation, and minimizing waste
- Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
- Assist in menu planning and development to keep offerings innovative and aligned with customer preferences
- Coordinate with the catering and banquet teams to support large events and special functions
- Monitor shift management, assign tasks, and provide training to team members for continuous improvement
- Maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment that adheres to health standards and safety protocols
Requirements
- Proven experience in fine dining establishments with strong culinary skills in food production and cooking
- Supervising experience with a focus on team management and leadership in a kitchen setting
- Extensive knowledge of food safety practices, dietary department standards, and food handling procedures
- Background in banquet service, catering, or large-scale event preparation is highly desirable
- Familiarity with inventory management, cost control, and food service management systems
- Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining attention to detail during busy service hours
- Excellent communication skills coupled with a passion for hospitality and culinary excellence
