Overview
Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Powder Coater, where you'll play a vital role in applying high-quality powder coatings to a variety of metal products. As a Powder Coater, you will be responsible for ensuring that each item meets strict quality standards through expert coating techniques and adherence to safety protocols. Your contributions will help deliver durable, visually appealing finished products that meet customer expectations and industry specifications.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for coating by cleaning, sanding, and surface preparation using hand tools and mechanical equipment.
- Operate powder coating equipment, including spray guns and airless paint sprayers, to apply coatings evenly and efficiently.
- Interpret production documents and work orders to ensure proper coating specifications are met.
- Use forklifts and cranes for materials handling, loading, and unloading parts within the warehouse or manufacturing area.
- Conduct visual color comparisons and inspect coated surfaces for consistency, defects, or imperfections.
- Follow safety protocols diligently by wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators and respiratory protection gear, during all coating processes.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment to uphold quality standards in production finishing.
- Assist with fabrication, assembly, or machining tasks as needed to support overall manufacturing operations.
Qualifications
- Prior experience with industrial painting or powder coating processes is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of coating materials, spray guns (including airless systems), and surface preparation techniques.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, production documents, and specifications accurately.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience operating hand tools, power tools, cranes, and fabrication equipment.
- Familiarity with safety procedures related to PPE use, respiratory protection, and hazardous materials handling.
- Basic math skills for measurements and quality checks using precision measuring instruments.
- Warehouse experience or familiarity with materials handling equipment such as forklifts is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent visual color comparison skills to ensure coating consistency.

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
