Position Summary:
Moveras is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Senior Accountant to join our team in Salem, NH. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting our financial operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closings.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for management review.
- Prepare and distribute monthly expense analysis reports
- Monitor and analyze financial transactions to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Maintain fixed asset software updates and reconciliation to GL.
- Prepare weekly direct labor payroll reports within deadlines to assist operations.
- Prepare all weekly payroll reports for management review.
- Update and maintain tax compliance in federal, state and local jurisdictions.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, as needed.
- Support budget preparation and expense tracking to align with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth financial operations and resolve any discrepancies.
- Prepare and file tax documents, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the efficiency of accounting operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software, Sage Fixed Assets, and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices (GAAP).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA certification or working towards certification.
- Experience in manufacturing or a similar industry.
