Responsibilities
- Thoroughly wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold health and safety standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, or organizing ingredients when needed.
- Support the bussing team by clearing tables and ensuring dining areas are clean and welcoming for guests.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and storage spaces.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely availability of clean dishes and utensils during busy service periods.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Support catering and banquet setups by providing clean dishware and assisting with event cleanup as required.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service environments such as restaurants, hotels, or catering operations.
- Familiarity with bussing, food preparation, and basic kitchen cleaning techniques.
- Ability to handle food safely following proper food handling protocols.
- Experience working in banquet settings or large-scale catering events is a plus.
- Strong attention to cleanliness and organization in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to support kitchen staff and servers effectively.
