Overview

Duties
- Supervise daily clinic operations, including scheduling, patient flow, and administrative workflows to optimize efficiency.
- Manage fiscal responsibilities such as budgeting, financial management, billing processes, and expense control using systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or eClinicalWorks.
- Oversee human resources functions including staff recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations.
- Coordinate with medical professionals to support clinical activities across acute care, hospital settings, or dental clinics, ensuring adherence to JCAHO standards and managed care protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems.
- Implement policies for medical administrative support, utilization management, and medical terminology accuracy.
- Monitor clinic performance metrics and prepare reports to improve operational effectiveness.
Skills
- Extensive experience in medical office management with proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks.
- Strong background in Optics/Opthalmology
- Proven supervising experience leading multidisciplinary teams in healthcare settings such as hospitals or clinics.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance and JCAHO accreditation standards.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, experience in insurance billing and scheduling
- Familiarity with dental office experience or veterinary practice management is a plus.
