Reflection of Trinity Operations Associate
Position Summary
The Operations Associate plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of Reflections of Trinity's food pantry, warehouse, and community outreach programs. This position is responsible for food handling, inventory management, volunteer support, distribution preparation, warehouse organization, and assisting with food and merchandise pickups. The Operations Associate helps ensure that nutritious food and essential items are received, stored, prepared, and distributed safely and efficiently to individuals and families in need.
This is an active, hands-on position that requires frequent lifting, bending, standing, walking, and working both indoors and outdoors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Food Pantry Operations
- Assist with preparation and distribution of food for weekly pantry programs and special outreach events.
- Assemble food boxes, backpacks, senior food deliveries, and other program-specific distributions.
- Maintain organized storage areas, coolers, freezers, and warehouse spaces.
- Rotate inventory using proper food safety and quality control procedures.
- Monitor food products for freshness and report damaged or expired inventory.
- Help maintain accurate inventory records and weight tracking documentation.
Warehouse & Inventory Management
- Receive, sort, inspect, and store incoming food and merchandise donations.
- Organize warehouse inventory to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
- Operate pallet jacks and other approved warehouse equipment.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks, pallets, and donations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Transportation & Procurement Support
- Assist truck drivers with food rescues, retail pickups, warehouse collections, and merchandise donations.
- Load and unload food, furniture, household goods, and other donated items.
- Ride along on pickup routes when needed.
- Ensure donations are handled safely and respectfully during transport.
- Assist with special delivery projects serving schools, seniors, and community partners.
Volunteer Support
- Welcome and assist volunteers during pantry operations.
- Provide instruction on food handling, safety procedures, and assigned tasks.
- Help foster a positive, mission-driven volunteer experience.
- Demonstrate and reinforce the core values of Reflections of Trinity.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all food safety, warehouse safety, and organizational procedures.
- Maintain proper temperatures in coolers and freezers.
- Report safety concerns, accidents, equipment issues, or damaged inventory immediately.
- Comply with all Atlanta Community Food Bank guidelines and organizational policies.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Clean Driving Record
- Previous warehouse, food pantry, retail, logistics, or distribution experience preferred.
- Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred (training may be provided).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with volunteers, staff, clients, and community partners.
- Positive attitude and commitment to serving families with dignity and respect.
- Dependable, punctual, and flexible with changing daily priorities.
- Previous handyman experience preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 45 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, and lifting.
- Ability to load and unload trucks and move inventory throughout the warehouse.
- Ability to work in warehouse, cooler, freezer, and outdoor environments as needed.
- Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment after training.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
