Are you passionate about caring for patients and supporting families during one of the most important experiences of their lives? As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) in the Obstetrics Unit at The Women's Hospital, you'll play an essential role in providing compassionate, patient-centered care to mothers, newborns, and families throughout their childbirth journey.
Working alongside a highly skilled team of nurses and healthcare professionals, you'll help create a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment for growing families while gaining valuable experience in a specialized area of healthcare.
As a valued member of the care team, you'll provide hands-on support that promotes comfort, safety, and positive patient experiences. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting patients with personal care needs, including bathing, oral hygiene, toileting, and linen changes
- Supporting patient mobility, repositioning, and transfers
- Monitoring and documenting vital signs and patient observations
- Accurately recording important information in patient charts
- Providing compassionate emotional support to patients and families throughout their hospital stay

The OB Unit at The Women's Hospital specializes in both routine and high-risk obstetrical care, providing comprehensive support for mothers, newborns, and families. This dynamic unit offers a unique opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional maternity care.
Unit highlights include:
- Caring for both routine and high-risk pregnancies in a highly specialized environment
- Supporting patients through labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, and newborn care
- A modern obstetrical unit featuring 28 private Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) rooms, 10 antepartum rooms, and 2 observation rooms
- A single-room maternity care model that promotes continuity of care and enhanced patient experiences
- Couplet care, allowing mothers and newborns to remain together while receiving coordinated care
- Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to support patients with unique medical and obstetrical needs
- A strong commitment to family-centered care that addresses the emotional, physical, and psychosocial needs of each family

Required:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification within six months of hire
Preferred:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
