Job purpose: Provide excellent customer service to customers, provide meal services, perform front & back of house cleaning and assist Café manager and staff as needed.

$19.00 Per Hour plus Tips

Up to 30 hours per week, weekends and evenings, probable split shift.

Overtime is not expected but may be required occasionally.

May be required to work Holidays, see rate.

Take food and beverage orders, paying close attention to special requests and dietary restrictions.

Enter orders into system and process payments after service is complete.

Assist with food preparation, as needed or directed by the Chef, Manager or Lead.

Open and close till, including deposit reports and recording of over/short.

Maintain front and back of house cleaning, up to and including deep cleaning as needed, attempted problem solving of maintenance issues prior to asking for help and anticipating line or dishwashing needs before it becomes a problem.

Other duties as assigned, including assistance with fundraising preparations, silverware rolling, dusting or decoration changeouts, etc.

At least 18 years old.

Able to communicate effectively and in a timely manner, both verbally and in writing.

Must be able to speak, read, and write in English in a manner sufficient to carry out the duties of this position. This will also include appropriate notification of job absences, use of the Paychex app for scheduling and notice to management for supply order(s) if so directed.

Experience with cash register operation, reporting & tip sharing.

Friendly and customerservice oriented. Anticipate customer needs prior to their request(s) and be watchful for any additional services needed.

Experience in a restaurant preferred.

Must have or be able to obtain a Food Handlers Card prior to first shift. There are multiple options available to take online. Adhere to Food Handling Techniques & Rules, even when others are not.

This position requires standing, walking, and bending throughout the work shift. Must be able to lift, stack, and maneuver objects between 1020 pounds.
