ANCORTEX is seeking an experienced Crane Operator to support DRIVEN PILES operations on infrastructure and heavy civil projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating lattice boom cranes in pile driving activities and a strong commitment to safety and productivity.

Duties and Key Responsibilities:
- Operate lattice boom cranes (150 tons or larger capacity) to support driven pile installation
- Handle pile sections, leads, hammers, and associated equipment
- Coordinate closely with pile driving crews and site supervisors
- Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Follow all safety procedures and OSHA regulations
- Assist in mobilization/demobilization of equipment when required
- Operate cranes to handle materials such as driven piles and drilled shafts with precision and safety.
- Follow load handling procedures and rigging methods to secure loads properly, ensuring stability during lifting operations.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of cranes and lifting gear, verifying safety equipment and hydraulics functionality before use.
- Coordinate with ground personnel for material handling, backhoe operation, excavator use, and forklift movements to support construction activities.
- Implement OSHA safety standards and construction workplace safety regulations during all crane operations and materials handling tasks.
- Maintain clear communication with team members regarding load capacities, rigging techniques, and safety protocols throughout each shift.
- Document operational activities, conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment, and report any issues immediately to ensure continuous safe operation.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience operating lattice boom cranes (crawler cranes preferred) with capacities of 200 tons or more
- Experience in driven pile operations (strongly preferred)
- Valid NCCCO certification (lattice boom/crawler crane certification required)
- Candidates with experience limited to telescopic cranes only will NOT be considered.
- Strong understanding of load charts and safe lifting practices.
- Ability to work in dynamic job site environments
- Mechanical knowledge of cranes, hydraulics, load securing rigging methods, and heavy equipment operation.
- Proven experience operating overhead cranes, boom trucks, forklifts, backhoes, excavators, and shipping & receiving materials handling equipment.
- Strong understanding of load handling procedures in crane operations and safety regulations governing construction sites.
- Ability to implement rigging techniques effectively while adhering to safety protocols for load securing and lifting operations.
- Knowledge of construction site safety regulations including OSHA standards; commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Construction workplace experience with familiarity in foundation work involving driven piles and drilled shafts.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred for transporting equipment or materials between sites.
