Job Summary
The Senior Compliance Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the organization’s compliance programs to ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role partners cross-functionally with product, operations, legal, and executive leadership to mitigate risk and promote a strong culture of compliance and ethics. The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, organizational skills, strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and high standards of accuracy and precision.
What You Will Be Doing/Key Responsibilities:
Compliance Program Leadership
- Develop policies, procedures, and controls to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements for national, state, and local laws
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess impact on business operations
Risk Assessment & Mitigation
- Conduct enterprise-wide compliance risk assessments
- Identify gaps and recommend corrective actions
- Lead remediation efforts and track resolution progress
Regulatory Oversight
- Ensure compliance with applicable local, regional, and international laws (e.g., consumer product safety, privacy, trade, labeling, environmental)
- Serve as primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, audits, and inspection
- Oversee compliance related to product safety, labeling (FDA/FCC/Prop 65/AB-1200), packaging, and global regulations
- Ensure supplier and factory compliance with social and quality standards
- Support retailer-specific compliance requirements (Walmart, Target, TJX, etc.)
Training & Culture
- Provide ongoing guidance to teams on compliance matters
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Support compliance requirements in PD, packaging, marketing claims, and vendor selection
What You Will Need To Bring To The Table:
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Compliance, or related field
- 8–12+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or regulatory affairs
- Experience in consumer products, retail, manufacturing, or a related industry preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance best practices
- Proven experience building and managing compliance programs
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
Technical Skills
- Familiarity with risk assessment tools and compliance software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

- Reduction in compliance-related incidents or violations
- Audit success rate (internal and external)
- Regulatory response time and accuracy
Role reports to: Chief Marketing Officer
Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
