Job Description:
Balance Wash and Fold is a trusted mobile laundry pickup and delivery service that has been serving the Hampton Roads community since 2019. We are expanding into VB/ Norfolk and Chesapeake and are looking for One reliable, self-motivated independent contractors to join our team one dedicated to each city.
This is NOT a traditional job. Oncall/Saturday-only 1099 contractor position perfect for stay-at-home parents, college students, or anyone looking for consistent supplemental weekend income without a full-time commitment.
What You'll Do:
- Pick up client laundry on Saturday mornings (9 AM – 12 PM)
- Mon- Friday 6:30pm-10:30 pm Oncall hours
- Wash, dry, and professionally fold all orders at our designated laundromat
- Deliver clean laundry back to clients by Sunday at 5 PM
- Communicate with clients professionally you are the face of our brand
- Report weights and delivery confirmations to the company

- Reliable, responsible, and professional — you represent our brand
- Available every Saturday (with occasional cross-coverage for the other city when needed)
- Comfortable handling other people's personal belongings with care
- Strong attention to detail — folding quality matters to us and our clients
- Friendly and personable — you'll interact with clients face-to-face
- Able to manage your time independently without constant supervision
Requirements (Non-Negotiable):
- Reliable personal vehicle — must be able to transport multiple bags/bins of laundry
- Valid driver's license
- Auto insurance — current policy meeting Virginia minimum requirements
- General liability insurance — required for all contractors
- Smartphone — for communication, navigation, and delivery confirmations
- Must pass a background check
- Must be 18 years or older
Compensation:
- Competitive per-pound pay + tips
- Guaranteed trip minimum per Saturday — you'll never leave empty-handed
- Same-day payment via Cash App or Venmo
- Typical Saturday takes approximately 6–8 hours total (Saturday pickup/wash + Sunday delivery run)
