As a Senior Network Administrator, you play a critical role in building and maintaining our robust and secure enterprise network infrastructure. You ensure the seamless operation of our core systems, enabling vital business functions. This position offers the opportunity to apply advanced technical skills, solve complex challenges, and contribute directly to the stability and performance of our entire organization. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time, excluding federal holidays and Government closures. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for emergencies, maintenance, incidents, or other mission-critical needs.
Position Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and support enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure to ensure high availability and optimal network performance.

Administer enterprise routing and switching, including advanced BGP and OSPF configurations.
-
Implement and maintain secure network environments, including VPNs, wireless networking, ACLs, segmentation, QoS, and vulnerability remediation.
-
Manage core network services (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) and leverage network monitoring and performance tools to proactively maintain network health.
-
Troubleshoot complex network issues, perform firmware upgrades and security patching, and maintain accurate network documentation.

Significant experience supporting, designing, implementing, and maintaining complex enterprise LAN/WAN network environments.
-
Expertise with enterprise routing and switching technologies, including BGP and OSPF.
-
Experience configuring and supporting VPNs, wireless networks, firewalls, access control lists (ACLs), network segmentation, quality of service (QoS), DNS, DHCP, and IP address management (IPAM).

Proficiency with network monitoring, alerting, logging, troubleshooting, and performance analysis tools to proactively identify and resolve complex network issues.

Experience performing security patching, firmware upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and implementing network security best practices.

Understanding of enterprise network architecture, security principles, and industry best practices.

Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.

Strong technical documentation, written communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to work from the designated Reston, Virginia location a minimum of three days per week.
Education & Experience:

8 years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise network environments.
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field.

Holds industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIP, or equivalent.

Possesses experience with specific vendor technologies (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks).
