Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and other treatments following aseptic techniques and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with patient needs and medical directives.
- Monitor patients closely in critical care environments such as ICU or trauma centers, managing ventilators, cardiac monitors, and other advanced equipment.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations including specimen collection, laboratory testing, and imaging procedures like sonography or radiography when necessary.
- Provide education on health coaching, medication management, discharge planning, and chronic disease management tailored to diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, or individuals with disabilities.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical documentation for legal and billing purposes.
Qualifications
- Valid RN license in the applicable state or jurisdiction.
- Proven experience working in acute care settings such as ICU, emergency room, or trauma centers; Level I or II trauma center experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or Athenahealth; proficiency with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) is a plus.
- Demonstrated expertise in specialized areas including cardiology (cardiac catheterization), nephrology (dialysis), infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, or behavioral health.
- Critical care experience with ventilator management, airway management, and trauma medicine procedures.
- Ability to perform complex procedures such as suturing, catheterization (urinary or vascular), tube feeding management, phlebotomy, and sterile processing techniques.
- Excellent patient assessment skills combined with physiology knowledge to deliver comprehensive nursing care across inpatient and outpatient environments.
- Strong communication skills for triage situations, case management coordination, family education, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
