We are seeking a Diesel Mechanic or Experienced Mechanic with Proven Job Experience who lives in or around the Burnet, TX area. This person will be responsible for supporting our team and customers in various tasks utilizing their mechanical skills on jobs in the shop and on roadside as well as completing projects to assist our towing and mechanic business. The ideal candidate should have advanced mechanical knowledge and be able to work efficiently both in shop and roadside when needed in a fast-paced environment. We are a Full Service Truck Shop & Towing Facility.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Computer Diagnostics & Emissions Systems (In Shop & Roadside Service)
- General In Shop Diagnostic & Repair as well as Roadside Diagnostics & Repair
- Complete work orders using our FullBay Mechanic ticket portal & work with office staff to make sure mechanical notes are correct and updated for each job daily
- Research & order parts for jobs as needed, turning in receipts daily to office
- Manual Tire changes for Class 8 Tires used for large trucks/ tractor trailers
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Mechanical experience & knowledge using computer diagnostics & emissions systems
- Must have your own tools to bring to the job -We do have insurance coverage available to cover your personal tools.
- Preferred Certifications/Experienced Tech who has worked on the following:
Paccar, Detroit, Volvo, Cummins, GM, Ford, Caterpillar
- Experienced running & reading diagnostic computers for customers (Roadside & In Shop)
- Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail
- Comes to work on time and ready to work full time hours (40+hrs per week)
- Must be able to prioritize, stay focused and handle multiple, diverse responsibilities
- Ability to properly diag and repair Air Brake systems.
- Knowledge on changing Class 8 Tires
Additional Responsibilities (As needed)
- Operate general site vehicles and equipment: service truck, pick-up trucks, skid steer, sweepers, etc.;
- Perform general shop maintenance and repairs
- General Labor for putting together equipment/special projects in the shop, as required
- Willing to work outside in any weather condition
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times
- Rotational On Call weekend shifts. You will have to take home the service truck with you on weekends that you are on call.
Additional Qualifications (*not required but will push you to the top of the list*)
· Welding/Fabrication Experience
· Hydraulic Hose Experience
· CDL (a plus for test drives)
**PAY WILL BE BASED ON EXPERIENCE LEVEL**
