San Diego Pond and Garden is looking for a Pond and Fountain Service Technician to work out of our store in Poway, San Diego.

We are looking for people with experience in installation of pond/pool equipment, plumbing, electrical, troubleshooting, general fish care, water testing, and general knowledge of ponds and water features. Skills & Experience:
* Installation of pond equipment
* Pond Maintenance: knowledge of fish, water gardens, and ponds.
* Plumbing, Electrical, and Troubleshooting
* Speak, read, and write English.
* Ability to multi-task, take responsibility, and problem solve.
* Ability to perform duties with minimal direction.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of ponds, fountains, waterfalls, and aquatic systems to ensure proper operation.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical components such as pumps, filters, aerators, lighting systems, and plumbing fixtures using schematics and technical manuals.
- Install new water features or upgrade existing systems with precision and attention to detail.
- Conduct inspections to identify issues related to water quality, equipment malfunction, or structural integrity; implement timely repairs.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining system functions, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols clearly to clients.
- Operate company vehicles safely while transporting tools, equipment, and parts to job sites; adhere to all safety regulations.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, parts used, and system conditions for each client visit.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician with a focus on mechanical systems repair or appliance maintenance.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read detailed estimates.
- Experience in Pool system repair is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems, electrical wiring related to water features, and general construction experience is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating company vehicles is a plus.
- Leadership qualities that support team collaboration and problem-solving in fast-paced environments.

Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour
