Job Overview
We are seeking hands-on Floor Supervisors to support production accountability, workflow, and employee performance in our sheet metal manufacturing facility in Pflugerville, TX.
This is an active, floor-based leadership role. The Floor Supervisor will spend the majority of the shift walking the production floor, monitoring work areas, checking progress against production goals, coaching employees, addressing downtime, and helping ensure team members stay focused and productive. Our day shift has approximately 85 employees, and our night shift has approximately 35 employees. We are hiring one Floor Supervisor for each shift.
The ideal candidate is firm, fair, dependable, and comfortable holding people accountable while maintaining a professional and respectful work environment. This person should also be willing and able to assist with hands-on production support when needed, including forklift operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a visible presence on the production floor throughout the shift.
- Monitor employee productivity, work pace, and adherence to assigned tasks.
- Coach, redirect, and motivate employees to stay focused on production goals.
- Identify employees or work areas that are falling behind and take immediate action to correct issues.
- Communicate production expectations clearly to team members.
- Help enforce company policies, safety rules, attendance expectations, and standard operating procedures.
- Report recurring performance, attendance, or behavioral issues to management.
- Assist with workflow coordination between departments, machines, and production areas.
- Help identify bottlenecks, material shortages, equipment issues, or staffing gaps.
- Operate a forklift as needed to support production, material movement, and shipping/receiving activities.
- Assist with general production tasks between floor checks when appropriate.
- Promote a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Support shift handoff communication between day shift and night shift supervisors.
- Work closely with leads, operators, maintenance, quality, and management to keep production on schedule
Qualifications
- 10+ Years of Sheet Metal Fabrication Experience
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, warehouse, or production environment required.
- Prior lead, supervisor, or team accountability experience preferred.
- Experience in sheet metal manufacturing, metal fabrication, or similar industrial environment strongly preferred.
- Forklift experience preferred; forklift certification is a plus.
- Must be comfortable walking and standing for most of the shift.
- Ability to address performance issues professionally and directly.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to give clear instructions.
- Dependable, consistent, and able to lead by example.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Basic understanding of production goals, workflow, safety, and quality expectations.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, or move materials as required.
- Ability to safely operate or become certified to operate a forklift.
- Must follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE as needed.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
