E & E Angel's Learning Academy is seeking a dependable, energetic, and experienced School-Age Teacher to join our after-school program. We are looking for an educator who is passionate about working with school-age children and committed to providing a safe, engaging, and enriching environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.
Position Summary
The school-Age Teacher is responsible for supervising and caring for children enrolled in the after-school program while maintaining compliance with Ohio Department of Children & Youth (DCY) licensing regulations and Step Up To Quality (SUTQ) standards. The teacher will provide homework support, facilitate developmentally appropriate activities, encourage positive social interactions, and create a fun, structured learning environment.
Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED (required).

CPL Level 3 or higher (preferred).

CDA, associate degree, or coursework in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.

Minimum of one year of experience working with school-age children in a licensed childcare center or educational setting.

Knowledge of Ohio Department of Children & Youth (DCY) licensing regulations.

Familiarity with Step Up To Quality (SUTQ) standards.

Ability to plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities.

Strong classroom management and behavior guidance skills.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Ability to pass Ohio BCI/FBI background checks.

Current CPR, First Aid, Child Abuse Recognition, and Communicable Disease certifications (or ability to obtain upon hire).

Verifiable professional references.

Reliable transportation and excellent attendance.
Responsibilities:

Provide a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for school-age children.

Supervise children at all times and maintain required staff-to-child ratios.

Assist children with homework and provide academic support when needed.

Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities, including STEM, arts and crafts, literacy, games, recreation, and enrichment opportunities.

Encourage teamwork, leadership, independence, and positive peer relationships.

Promote learning through hands-on experiences and structured play.

Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.

Follow all DCY licensing regulations, health and safety procedures, and center policies.

Complete attendance, daily documentation, and incident reports as required.

Communicate professionally with families regarding children's progress and daily activities.

Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and administration to ensure a high-quality after-school program.

Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and required trainings.
