We are seeking a motivated, hands‑on Landscape Operations Manager to support daily field operations and help drive revenue through customer sales and enhancement opportunities.
Position Overview
The Landscape Operations Manager oversees the daily operations of multiple landscape maintenance crews and plays a key role in customer sales and enhancement work. This role ensures that maintenance services are delivered safely, efficiently, and at the quality level Heaven and Earth Landscaping is known for. The Operations Manager also works closely with the Branch Manager to support overall branch performance, client satisfaction, and workflow coordination.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both leading teams in the field and engaging with customers to identify service improvements and sell additional landscape solutions.
Key ResponsibilitiesCrew Leadership & Field Operations
- Lead, supervise, and support daily landscape maintenance crews.
- Oversee morning dispatch, route organization, and scheduling.
- Conduct on‑site visits to ensure work quality, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction.
- Train and coach crew members on proper horticultural techniques, equipment operation, and company standards.
- Troubleshoot issues on job sites and provide timely solutions.
- Manage the upkeep, safety, and proper use of company equipment and vehicles.
Customer Service, Quality Control & Landscape Sales
- Build strong, professional relationships with existing and new customers.
- Identify enhancement opportunities during site visits (e.g., plant replacements, seasonal color, mulch, pruning, drainage solutions, turf improvements).
- Prepare small enhancement proposals and present them to customers.
- Support the Branch Manager with estimating, pricing, and follow‑up on enhancement sales.
- Respond promptly to customer questions, service requests, and concerns.
- Ensure all services meet or exceed company quality standards.
Operational Support
- Assist the Branch Manager with daily operations such as scheduling, production planning, inventory oversight, and general workflow.
- Help with administrative tasks including timesheets, crew productivity tracking, and job costing.
- Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new field employees.
- Lead and participate in safety training and enforce company safety policies.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and industry regulations.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of landscape maintenance, horticulture, or landscape operations experience (supervisory experience strongly preferred).
- Knowledge of horticulture, turf care, pruning standards, irrigation basics, and maintenance equipment.
- Strong sales instincts with the ability to identify issues and propose solutions to customers.
- Strong leadership, time management, and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
