This position requires design experience and advanced skills to perform machine measure ups as well as understanding of the product applications & customer designs/blue prints, specific components, and detailed products knowledge. Furthermore, engage with customers and in-house sales teams for scheduling, drawing approvals to meet delivery requirements and on-site installation dates.
MINIMUM SKILL SET REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years practical experience;
- Fully Proficient in 2D and 3D;
- Fully Proficient in word processing and spread sheets;
- Fluent in English language
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Design applicable products of IBS of America and JUD Corporation with the use of CAD (2D and 3D) systems; Generating accurate production drawings for the in-house shop and subcontracted shops; Manage mechanical portion of the project from start to finish;
2. Customer relations in terms of obtaining the required information thru on-site measure ups; exhibit the knowledge and skill in product related discussions with customers;
3. Capable to execute technical calculations to ensure the safety and integrity of mechanical custom components; Preparation of technical documentation and procedures, product inspections and dimensional checks;
4.Cooperation and coordination with manufacturing personnel in the design of jibs and fixtures;
5. Creation of communication documentation, presentations, video calls etc. to help convey the key aspects of a design to a client or manufacturing partner;
6. Creation, control and maintenance of order release packages and design files; follow up with clients and vendors;
7. International collaboration thru Engineering teams in Canada (2 facilities) and Austria (3 facilities);
8. Travel to perform measure ups and start up support at mill site as necessary;
9. Participation in development projects and prototype design;
10. To perform any other duties as identified by the leadership of the company.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
