Function / Position Summary
Assist the Principal and the Assistant Principal(s) in maintaining the operations of the Student Office. These operations include communications, and directed procedures. Maintain confidentiality of student/staff information in the school and community.
Job Duties / Responsibilities

Assist students, receive and screen visitors.

Schedule and coordinate appointments and update the Assistant Principal's calendar.

Answer and transfer phone calls and record messages, keeping a daily log of the information.

Maintain a daily attendance log documenting calls to/from parents and prepare reports (including homebound and field trip students) as assigned.

Compile, record, and report data (i.e. HERO, Truancy, Activity, Statistical, and School Wide reports), and all other documents/forms/reports required for the daily operation and auditing of the department as assigned.

Provide assigned student intervention information to parents via Connect Ed as assigned.

Assist students who are ill or injured in the absence of the nurse.

Prepare memos, forms, letters, reports, etc. for administrators as requested.

Assist with all processes involving student enrollment, attendance, and/or transfer.

Maintain and update school website and serve as co-sub caller if designated by Principal.

Other duties as assigned.
Education
-
High school diploma or equivalent required.
-
Associate's degree preferred.
Experience / Knowledge
-
Working knowledge of district student information system (Infinite Campus, HERO) preferred.
-
Experience with Microsoft and G Suite software and programs.
-
Good communication skills.
-
Experience with common office skills and equipment.
-
Bilingual Spanish/English written/verbal preferred.
Physical Demands

Ability to work on a computer/telephone over the major portion of the day.

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Terms of Employment
-
This is a 10 month position.
-
Salary and benefits as established by the Board of Education and set forth in the collective bargaining agreement as applicable.

The starting rate for this role is $18.65/hr.
-
This position is a full time 8 hour a day M-F position.
-
This position is eleigible for benefits insurance and pension.
