Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging one-on-one or group tutoring sessions in English language arts and mathematics, tailored to individual student needs and learning styles.
- Develop and adapt curriculum materials that align with educational standards and student goals, incorporating technology tools to enhance learning experiences.
- Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support ongoing improvement.
- Utilize diverse instructional strategies to accommodate students with special education needs or different learning preferences.
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively, maintaining a positive environment conducive to focused learning and student engagement.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to track progress and adjust lesson plans accordingly.
- Incorporate early childhood education principles for preschool-aged learners and adapt lessons for adult education settings when applicable.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience or tutoring in English language arts or math is preferred, demonstrating strong communication skills and the ability to work with students of varying ages.
- Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing learning technology is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with teaching diverse populations—including children, preschoolers, students with special needs, or adult learners—is a plus.
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques and childcare practices enhances your ability to create a safe and productive learning environment.
- Background in early childhood education or preschool experience is advantageous for working with young learners.
- Strong organizational skills combined with adaptability to different learning styles ensure effective instruction across multiple settings.
Pay: $25.68 - $30.00 per hour
